I've never been the creative kind of person I never honed that skill in my life, I always quit out of frustration and always scared that I was wasting my time. I tried stuff like taking guitar classes for some time but when it comes to drawing I never really put any actual time into it to actually learn the craft. Playing video games was the thing that came natural to me and thus they were and still are my main hobby. Thinking back to my childhood I probably needed to find that spark that would’ve kept me motivated to pursue these activities and actually get over myself and learn to be better. Who knows, maybe at the time this movie could’ve been that spark.

Non sono mai stato una persona creativa. Non ho mai migliorato le mie abilità in quel campo, mi sono sempre arreso per frustrazione o paura che stessi sprecando il mio tempo. Ho provato a prendere lezioni di chitarra per qualche anno ma in quanto a disegnare non ho mai speso effettivamente tempo ad imparare le basi. Giocare ai videogiochi era la cosa che mi veniva più naturale e quindi sono diventati e ancora sono il mio passatempo principale. Ripensando alla mia infanzia, penso che prova avrei avuto bisogno di trovare quella scintilla che avrebbe potuto tenermi motivato per investire in queste attività e riuscire ad andare oltre i miei blocchi e imparare a migliorare. Chissà magari ai tempi un film come questo poteva essere la mia scintilla.

  Tomb Raider II was one of the very first games I ever played on the Playstation . It left a big impression on me, not only I was still amazed by the concept of 3D games, it felt realistic to me, traveling within this expansive real life locations trying to not get lost all the while struggling to survive against the other enemies, all the while discovering an ancient tale about a magical artifact rooted in mythology in a world where magic was slowly starting to feel even more real by the minute. Since then I was always a big fan of the series throughout its peak, its downfall and recent resurgence. Lara Croft was an icon during the 90s and even in modern times when it felt like she was overshadowed by her younger brother Nathan Drake she still managed to carve her own place. Since 2023 the series is having another comeback, not only we got Remasters of the first Six games in the series.   Tomb Raider II è stato uno dei primi giochi ad aver giocato su Playstation. Mi fece subito una grande impressione, non solo ero ancora affascinato dal concetto di giochi in 3D, mi sembrava realistico. Attraversare questi posti che esistevano nel nostro mondo, cercando disperatamente di non perdermi e di sopravvivere contro i vari nemici, scoprendo man mano un’antica storia radicata nella mitologia in un mondo in cui la magia pian piano si faceva sempre più reale. Fin da allora sono sempre stato un fan della serie, dal suo apice al suo crollo e alla sua recente rinascita. Lara Croft era un’icona negli anni 90 e anche in tempi moderni riusciva a ritagliarsi la sua presenza seppur nell’ombra del suo fratellino Nathan Drake. Dal 2023 la serie sta di nuovo ri-affermandosi, non solo abbiamo avuto delle rimasterizzazioni dei primi 6 giochi della serie, Lara Croft ha iniziato ad apparire in giochi come Fortnite, Dead By Daylight e Brawlhalla e per la prima volta, una serie animata
