Final Fantasy XVI - A good story that I don’t want to replay

Final Fantasy as a series needs no presentation. For many years it has been seen as the golden standard for the JRPG genre. My very first approach as a kid was very briefly with Final Fantasy X-2, but it was with Final Fantasy VII that I fell in love with the series. With its wonderful soundtrack, memorable characters, simple but addicting gameplay, that game started an avalanche effect that got me to play every single numbered entry in the series. If there’s something that characterized this series the most, it’s experimentation and pushing the boundaries with more mechanics and ideas, with very mixed results. That’s the price to pay sometimes with experimentation: I had my share of games that I still keep close to my heart, while others I would rather forget I’ve played them.
